Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1/3 cup butter
  • 1 1/2 cups thin onion slices
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 3 tbsp paprika
  • 1 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 10 cups egg noodles
  • 2 cups sour cream
  • chopped fresh parsley (optional)
  • cooked chicken

Instructions

  1. In 5 qt saucepan, melt butter. Add onion; cook until tender.
  2. In small bowl, mix flour, paprika, salt & pepper; stir into onion mixture until well blended.
  3. Gradually add broth; cook, stirring constantly until thickened.
  4. Cook noodles. Drain.
  5. Stir chicken & sour cream into sauce.
  6. Heat to serving temp. DO NOT BOIL.
  7. Toss with hot noodles, sprinkle with parsley.
